Maternity Dress: Looking After Your Skin While Pregnant

I am sure that you have all heard about the glow of pregnancy, and besides the early months… and the last months, where you feel uncomfortable, aching, nauseous or tired, there are times when you really feel fantastic and that you have that ‘glow’.
Besides all of the usual symptoms and side effects of pregnancy, some women have to deal with skin symptoms such as facial-skin discoloration or melasma, also known as the mask of pregnancy.

Secrets to Looking Your Best
Using creams that also exfoliate your skin can be a real help to ensuring that your skin is well looked after. Another factor which is often forgotten is the sun. Although you may not be spending your days lying on the beach, or perhaps you are, the sun is still going to have an effect on your face – when you are driving in your car, hanging up washing or just walking around outside. To help combat this often forgotten source of danger, be sure to apply a facial sunblock every morning as well.

Facial massages from heaven
Other than using face creams and making sure that you are protected from the sun’s harmful rays, you can give yourself relaxing facial massages to help keep your skin looking, and feeling fantastic.

Maternity Dress: Fashionable Maternity Working Wear

Work maternity clothing appropriate for all of these professions makes it possible to maintain one's professional appearance while celebrating the changing shape of one's body and the joyful reason behind it.

Pregnancy has enormous impacts on one's life, some wonderful, some that present hurdles to one's professional life. One of the most difficult tasks for pregnant professionals is finding work maternity clothing that is sharp and fashionable while still being comfortable and practical.

Maternity clothing often suffers from trying to hide a pregnant woman's shape rather than celebrating it. Given the nature of pregnancy, there is no reason that a woman's new body shouldn't be cause for celebration and there is certainly no reason that a woman with child should be restricted to ugly, poorly designed clothes. There are designers all over the world that work to create fashionable options for pregnant women and many of their creations are affordable and attractive.
Work maternity clothing should be, above all else, comfortable. Pregnancy obviously entails significant changes in shape and weight and the design of clothing worn throughout pregnancy must accommodate this. Maternity clothing, even though it is obviously intended for temporary use, should be durable and of a high-quality as should any garment. Because it may be worn for more than one pregnancy, designs that incorporate timeless, traditional cuts are preferable to ones that emphasize the fads and trends of the current moment. Fortunately, these are all common characteristics of professional clothing, making fashionable work clothing and maternity clothing not mutually exclusive terms.
Because different types of work demand a different wardrobe, work maternity clothing should encompass a wide variety of designs. Many women have jobs that entail working in a office for part of their work week and doing field work or on-site work at other times. It's desirable to acquire a wardrobe that is appropriate for all of these uses. Sometimes a collection of fashionable suits will be adequate and sometimes a combination of suits and durable clothing for more intensive environments will be called for. Work maternity clothing is available in designs appropriate for these uses and many more.

Maternity Dress: 3 BIG Problems on Maternity Dressing

We come in many sizes (before or during pregnancy) and it that different sizes we pack a variety or proportions. For expectant mummy, our bust, butt or hips are tend to grow in bigger sizing during our pregnancy.

So whether you're a pear of an apple, below being tips on how to dress for your shape to max out your best assets.

If you are a BIG BUST person....
Tips:
1. Balance out a top-heavy figure with an A-line dress that will give the focus out from the bust area.
2. Look less top-heavy with belt-bottom maternity trousers/pants.
3. The slight ruche details under the bust on a maxi dress is an ideal style as it points to the your abdomen and directs all eyes to your bump.
4. Get a blouse which is light on the waist ad loosens out around the chest area. It creates a picture of a small waist and illusion of an even smaller bust. Also, V-necks, boat necks and shirt collars distract from a big bustline to highlight a flattering neckline.

To avoid:

  • Ruffles, thin spaghetti straps, delicate camisole tops and embroidery that stretches across the bust - it calls for too much volume attention.
  • Pencil maternity skirts as it will only accentuate the bulk at the top
  • Full/puffy sleeves or tops with a lot of extra fabric on the upper body

If you are a BIG BUTT person....

Tips
1. Go for slightly flared, clean A-line maternity dresses/skirts with natural waist will highlight your shape. It looks best paired with a shorter jacket that creates fullness at the shoulders.
2. Do consider maternity tops ending at the hipbone visually break the figure down in a different place from the natural waistline and minimise a large derriere.
3. Lower waistlines visually break down the butt and minimise the appearance of its size.

To Avoid:
  • A high waistline maternity dress as it makes your butt look bigger
  • A full maternity skirt adds pounds on a bubble butt and a waistband with lots of gathering or pleats will make you look wider.
  • Any maternity shirt or jacket that's baggy and stops at the fullest part of your hip
If you are a BIG HIPS person....
Tips:
1. Select maternity pants that fall somewhere below the natural waistline for a better fit. Straight or slightly boot let is the most flattering.
2. Shirtdress is perfect to conceal hips. A large belt helps to create curves in the middle, drawing attention away from your thighs.
3. A defined waist, full maternity skirt and strapless cut maternity dress will gather the focus to the smaller upper-half of your body.
4. Draw attention to your tops by wearing material shits with interesting necklines or accessorising with scarves and chunky jewellery.

To avoid:
  • Pencil material skirts as they accentuate heavy thighs
  • Side pockets on material pants
  • Too-baggy maternity tops or too-tight maternity tops; looser materials tops will make you look large all over and tight maternity tops will make your look out of proportion

Maternity Dress: BIG Maternity Look For Valentine Day

How you are going to dress up on this coming BIG day - Valentine Day?
Below are some make up tips to get yourself look more distinctive & special on this special moment!

My, what BIG EYES you have!
Getting doll-like eyes ll boils down to the right know-how.
Step 1: Apply concealer over lids to provide a base for eyeshadow then a light and a dark eyeshadow over your lids. The light colour on the inner corner opens up your eyes while the darker shade on the outer corners provides that deep-set effect. Use an eyelash curler to pen eyes up further.
Step 2: Draw a black liner on both upper and lower lids. On the lower lids, draw from outer corners to the middle of the eyeball only, or else your ryes will end up looking small.
Step 3: Coat lashes with two coats of mascara, or use individual false lashes from mid to outer corners of lashes.

BIG & POUTY LIPS
With these nifty lip-plumping steps, you can oomph-up your puckers without a filler injection.
Step 1: Dab a light layer of concealer over lips. This allows you to reshape the size of your lips, it also acts as a base to help make your lippie last longer.
Step 2: Enlarge your lips slightly by using a lip liner directly outside the natural lip line before colouring it in. Be careful not to use a too-dark colour. One that resembles your natural lip colour looks more believable.
Step 3: Colour your lips in with the lip liner before topping up with gloss at the centre of your pout.

Bye-bye BIG ZIT
Need to hide a pimple pronto but don't have much time? Here's the fastest way to do it:
Step 1: Before you apply make-up directly on the zit, be sure to treat it with a pimple treatment to clear bacteria and to stave away further inflammation.
Step 2: Pick a concealer that matches your skin tone or one that colour-corrects. Apply concealer on the zit itself and gently dab to hide the reddishness.
Step 3: Dust your skin with a light layer of powder. This will help set the concealer too.

Get BIG HAIR
All it takes is three simple steps to turn your hair from limp to ALIVE!
Step 1: If you have straight hair, an easy way to add volume is by curling the lengths. Using a volumising mousse before you style is very helpful. If you have short hair, rubbing texturiser between your palms before raking through your stands is all it takes.
Step 2: Tease the roots of your hair with a fine-toothed comb to your desired height.
Step 3: With your head down, give hair a good spritz of hairspray, focusing on the roots. Flip head over and use hands to slightly ruche up hair for maximum height.

Maternity Dress: Wearing Big Maternity Style

To Wear in a Big Shirt!

Plain white oversized shirts will be another great maternity clothing alternative. Always remember to balance it out with maternity pants, or you can go casual with maternity jeans (forget full skirts or long skirts!). A waisted belt can be added as your accessory and it serves for style and decoration.

Big Accessories!

Accessories have been upgraded to a starring role these days. The focus: eyeglasses and watches. After all, it makes a lot of style sense since big frames make your face features look smaller and give a maverick feel to an ensemble. Try wearing a plain baby tee and a pair of acid-wash maternity denim Bermuda or simply adorn your wrist with an oversized metal watch or coloured bangle

Maternity Dress: Maternity Make-up

Get-in-the mood!
As the mercury rises it's time to turn up the heat on key make-up looks. It is very important and yet easier to get yourself make over into a sexy women during your pregnancy. Check out these easy, sexy make up that works for every mood throughout your maternity journey.

Eye in violet shade
It might be a special dinner even for you. In order to create a killer night-time eyes in shades of violet. Line the inner and outer rim of both top and bottom lashes with the deepest colour, then blend using lighter shades. Contour cheeks with cream or fine powder bronzer. A slick of clear gloss completes your cunning plan.

Sexy Goddess
Got a hot-date? Anniversary or anything that you can think of. Channel sex siren Bridget Bardot - kohl-rimmed eyes plus pale pout works every time. Using a small brush, apply dark brown (preferably gold-flecked) shadow to the lashline, then blend towards the crease for a classic smoky eye. Sweep a light shade of bronzer all over face to warm up skin. Cover mouth with concealer, then sheer or nude lippie.

Attractive Look
Attract attention for all the right reasons and add freshness to a tired complexion by warming cheeks with peach blusher. Use your fingers to blend the colour from the apples softly down and across to ear lobes for a natural, lit-from-within effect. On lips, use the same colour cheek cream or go with matching lipsticks for overall glow.
Quick trick: Coral looks damn hot on a tanned complexion, so mix a liquid bronzer with your moisturiser to layer on before foundation. Result? Golden, healthier-looking skin.

Romantic Flush
There 's nothing sexier than flushed lips. The tricks to a perfect stain? Layering. Use your finger to press colour on - applying it straight from the sticks looks heavy and won't last all night long. Concentrate on the centre of your mouth for a demure, buy check-this-out finish. Keep it balances with a neutral shade of eyeshasow plus a thick coat of linky black mascara.

Maternity Dress: Diaper Bag's Time

Hey Mother or Mother To Be, have your gotten your favourite diaper bag? For Expectant Mother, it will be another item for you to think about during your maternity journey.

About myself? I had no chance to shop for my diaper bag during my maternity period. Due to budget issue, I have been using a pre-owned diaper bag. It was from my friend. It is not a modern diaper bag but the design is very lovely. At least, it is very useful and I am still using it until today!
Finding the best diaper bag is only one of the many things a new mother must do, but it is also an important decision. Choosing the wrong style of diaper bag can bring about frustration in a hurry. I know of many moms who decide on having more than one, because different times call for a different type or size bag. It makes sense when you stop to think about it. If you are taking the baby for a walk in the stroller, there is no need for a large diaper bag.

The best diaper bags come in all shapes and sizes. Some will have well-known children’s characters on them, while others may come in pastel colors, or in blue or pink to signify a boy or a girl. Cool diaper bags can be simple, while others come with many different options. One of the best diaper bags I've seen even has a bottle warmer and cooler included inside. It is amazing at how far diaper bags have come over the years.
I've seen a few women opt to buy a large bag that is not really designed as a diaper bag. They do this because they don’t like the look of a traditional diaper bag, and want something more stylish. There are bags of all sorts that will fit the bill, but the best diaper bags are the ones that have more than enough room for your baby’s needs.

You can find cool diaper bags in almost any department store you enter. One of my favorite stores to shop for the best diaper bags is Babies-R-Us. You can also find the baby section in any large department store and there will be baby items of all sorts from which to choose. Don't forget the Internet in your search for the best diaper bags. You can also find great deals on diaper bags on eBay.
If you don’t feel store bought diaper bags are for you, you can make them yourself. If you can’t sew very well, you may want to leave this to someone who knows what he or she is doing. If you can sew, you may already have a great idea on how to go about making cool diaper bags.

Again, you may also find homemade diaper bags for sale online or on eBay. These can be great deals, and will be a way to find diaper bags that are big enough for your needs, but don’t have a commercial feel to them. Some come made in all natural fibers, and are great for the environmentally minded mom.
If you are planning to buy diaper bags for a mom to be, make sure you keep her needs and her style in mind. If she can’t stand Winnie the Pooh, don’t buy her a diaper bag that features that character. If she is a career mom, she may enjoy a bag that is a bit more discreet and does not shout out that it is indeed a diaper bag.

By taking your time and looking around, you'll find what you're looking for. In the end, the best diaper bag is the one that fills your needs.

Maternity Dress: Shoes For Maternity

To walk comfortably during pregnancy?? How??

It is important. Why?

It may become a temptation to keep your same old shoes during the entirety of your pregnancy, however that should not be common practice. While most women won't notice a change until later in their pregnancy, it is important to keep almost constant tabs on your foot health.

This is especially true when your baby bump becomes larger, and begins to put more pressure on your lower back. Finding the right pair of shoes not only has the ability to make you feel better physically, but can be added as an accessories to your favorite outfit. One of the most tale tell signs that you are ready for a new pair of shoes, is that your previous pair seems to be getting a little tight. I would suggest to not ignore your body's warning, as this can lead to longer and more uncomfortable recovery from the problems caused by poor fitting shoes.

While most women consider their maternity wear during pregnancy with a harsh view, many seem to neglect an every day necessity. It is important during your pregnancy to find a properly fitting and well supported maternity shoe during your pregnancy months. According to the American College of foot and ankle surgeons, it is suggested that pregnant women wear square toed shoes; because they offer extra room. They also highly suggest that you opt for shoes that have a broad, low heel since ballet flats and moccasins may not be the best choices due to the lack of ankle support. It is suggested that you have your foot size checked after the fifth or sixth month of pregnancy; as the ligaments within the foot of a pregnant woman will begin to soften, and may become up to a half size bigger which will make older shoes tight. It has also been speculated, that a decent pair of shoes that aids in circulation may help to prevent varicose veins as well; there are multiple reasons for you to consider making your next purchase of shoes throughout your pregnancy process.

It is a misconception that you need to steer clear of a heel during pregnancy, however a slight heel on your shoe tends to be better for your posture. They also tend to be far better on your back than either a high heel or the totally flat shoes such as a ballet flat. I would suggest purchasing shoes that are made of either leather or canvas, as they allow your feet to breath well. While shopping for your maternity shoes, you may wish to consider athletic shoes as they provide good support for the arches, and heels of your feet; and tend to lend themselves well to both home or work environments.

Maternity Dress: Work Out Maternity Clothing Tips

OK, I know some of us had dreams that when we were pregnant, we would spend the whole 9 months reclining (gracefully!) on the sofa while someone brought us bowls of ice-cream and chocolate biscuits, and massaged our very slightly swollen but still elegant-looking feet. And of course we would put on exactly the recommended amount of weight, and our belly would be perfectly shaped and cute. Sigh…the reality can be just a little different.

Remember that staying active and healthy during pregnancy has many benefits, and gentle exercise like pre-natal yoga is perfect. It seems yoga is an all-time favourite with the celebs, and most keep going right through pregnancy. Both Nicole Kidman and Halle Berry are reportedly including yoga in their pregnancy exercise routines. So what to wear? Your pre-pregnancy workout clothes may not fit for long, and you want to be comfortable, right?

A couple of factors should be taken into consideration when buying workout clothing and will often vary due to individual taste. The first factor is the climate in which you're working out. For cooler climates, long sleeves, leggings and a light-weight jacket might be more appropriate. In warmer climates, short unitards or bike shorts might be enough. A second factor is the type of exercise you are doing. For a low impact exercise like yoga, a jog bra might be fine. However, if you choose to run or do a higher impact exercise, a good sports bra would be much more supportive.

Fabric is another personal preference. Some women find that a cotton/spandex blend wicks moisture away effectively. Meanwhile, others prefer the higher tech Supplex or Lycra blends that are very stretchy and also do a good job of wicking moisture. However, there is one drawback to both types of blends: they can easily shrink if not washed in cold water and hung up to dry.

What's Your Style?
For some women, the unitard is a maternity staple because they create a long line and don't cut into the thighs. They also provide support under clothing without lines or elastic digging in, even if you gain a lot of weight during pregnancy. Most unitards come in a sleeveless or with long or short sleeves, short or full legs, and can also be worn after the baby is born.
If you are not one to go the unitard route, many women really like the idea of fitness separates. For example, you can use a pair of bike tights and sports bra tops with tanks or tees over them. This way, you can buy a couple of each and mix and match throughout the entire week. You can also wear the longer maternity leggings if you are looking for a little extra coverage when modesty is important. The separates do provide a little easier bathroom access than unitards, and when you are pregnant, you know this is a big issue.

I would recommend a few basics for nine months of working out that would cover all the bases.

1 pair maternity fitness shorts
1 pair maternity yoga pants (long or capri); for yoga or any activity
2 really good and supportive bras
1 supportive swimsuit for any kind of water workout
2 maternity tanks or tees for layering

If you want to find something to wear after the baby is born, look for a style that was specifically designed with that in mind, such as Fit Maternity's maternity/postnatal unitard. Remember that your fitness wear should fit comfortably and that waistbands should rest either over or under the belly to minimize unnecessary pressure across the middle.

With your doctor's approval, exercising throughout your pregnancy is not only possible and beneficial, but, with today's maternity fitness wear options, you can be fashionable and comfortable, too! Why not take advantage of the selections available and choose the proper fitness wear for you? Enjoy staying fit through your pregnancy and look good while doing it!

Maternity Dress: Maternity Talk on Natural Childbirth vs Epidural??

Many women choose natural childbirth in order to participate fully in the birth of their baby and to have control over the birthing experience. By choosing natural childbirth, she will be using a minimum of routine interventions during labor and is expecting to be unmedicated throughout the birth.

Allowed me to take this opportunity to share mine. I being one of those mummies who given birth in a natural way. The labour experience was really impressed me & my hubby. It was great and it really remind me how difficult to get a baby born on this planet. It was a miracle! Of course, I would like to thank you all mother in this world, it meant you, for giving birth to your little one.

Natural childbirth means that the birthing mother accepts that she will probably feel pain and discomfort as part of labor and birth. Positive aspects of natural childbirth include no loss of sensation. She will also remain alert during labor and birth.

By choosing natural childbirth, you can move around freely and use whatever positions you find comfortable throughout labor. Many women feel a sense of empowerment or accomplishment after giving birth unmedicated. Even though they had pain, many choose to remain unmedicated for future births.

Most techniques advocated with natural childbirth are non-invasive. Partners and other family members will feel more involved as they help the mother cope and work through her contractions.

Childbirth classes teach techniques to help the mother attain a natural childbirth. These techniques may be practiced before labor begins. By practicing and understanding these techniques, some of the fear and anxiety she may be experiencing is lessened.

Unlike an epidural, these techniques do not remove the pain. They give you means to cope with it. If you still find that you cannot deal with the pain, an epidural or other pain relief can be given in the hospital if you are not too close to delivery.

Getting ready for natural childbirth helps a family prepare for their new baby. First, you develop your birth plan. This is a written plan for you and your caregivers that give them an idea of your wishes during labor and birth.

You can have a natural childbirth without drugs in a hospital, a birthing center or at home. Birthing centers are an option that is family-centered and is a compromise between a hospital and birthing at home. Hospitals are moving towards this design by calling their maternity wards birthing centers, and creating a more home-like environment. Relaxed visitation hours are often employed.

Achieving a natural childbirth can be easier when you use a midwife, a doula or other birth attendant. Midwives are familiar with comfort measures to help you cope with labor pain without resorting to drugs, and can provide a more personalized prenatal care routine than you can get from an obstetrician.

If you have an obstetrician, your labor care will be provided by the hospital nurses. Some nurses have studied natural techniques, but they are only available until their shift is over. You may get assigned a nurse on the next shift whose preferred method of labor management is to repeatedly offer an epidural.

Even if your heart is set on a natural childbirth, it is important to remain flexible. No one can predict how labor will flow, and sometimes interventions are truly needed.

Studies have proven that if a woman has continuous support, they are less likely to need pain medication for labor and delivery than if they are alone or feel unsupported. Partners can learn to do this in childbirth classes, and doulas can be hired to help. Unlike nurses, doulas don't work by shifts... they are there for the duration of the birth.

Studies have also proven that mothers who prepare with certain types of pain management methods before labor are more likely to succeed in having the birth they want. Breathing, positioning, relaxation, hypnosis, acupuncture, massage and hydrotherapy are a few choices a woman may look at when deciding how to prepare for birth.
