Maternity Dress: Spring Maternity Fashion Trends 2009

It time to change your maternity wardrobe from heavy coats to lighweight jackets / cardigan & other spring maternity clothings.
Maternity dresses must be comfortable, trendy, flattering and designed to keep your belly controlled and composed.

Let check out:
Cute fair-weather maternity jackets that will flatter your bump.

Printed Halter Maternity Dress : One of the easiest to wear while pregnancy. Being too comfortable, they provide you with the much needed relaxation and minimize all types of strains on the bump. To look fresh during spring, try a printed halter dress in bright color. Also you can try lotus prints. They are a rage this spring. The straps of a halter dress give you much needed balance when tied behind your neck, while walking on the beach.

Maxi Maternity Dresses : When you reach the trimester, then comes the exclusive role of maxi dresses. As your belly starts getting fuller and fuller day by day, the loose fit cut of the maxi dresses becomes a necessity. Their design gives you a perfect shape despite the increased waistline and deteriorating silhouette.

Stretch Cotton Tunic Maternity Tops : A tunic top made of stretch cotton can be equally flattering like a maxi maternity dress. Such a tunic top is an all time hit spring maternity apparel and may top the spring maternity fashion trends, thanks to its sheer comfort, elasticity and flexibility it provides. It is available in various hues and textures.

Metallic Embroidered Maternity Skirts : Too enjoy the maximum coziness, nothing can match a knee-length skirt. It provides the maximum ventilation to the skin pores and reduces sweating while walking under the sun. In order to look trendy, buy a shimmering metallic knee-length skirt with embroidery all around. Pair with a tank top and sunglasses,

Maternity Dress: a Must Have for Every Expecting Woman

Every expecting woman needs a good maternity dress or two in her wardrobe. During pregnancy, it sometimes seems excessive to buy a lot of nice maternity dresses that can only be worn for a few months.
However, during the course of nine months of pregnancy we inevitably come upon an occasion which really calls for a dress- a wedding, an office party, an evening out with our spouse or even our own baby shower.

Many expecting women actually find that maternity dresses are more comfortable to wear when expecting than a pant and top combo. Even women that do not typically wear dresses for their day to day activities may find that a dress is the easiest and most comfortable clothing to wear when they are pregnant. For one thing, most maternity dresses are made with plenty of room in the belly to comfortably stretch for all nine months of your pregnancy. They also provide plenty of belly coverage so there is no worry about a top getting too short as your belly expands.

Most women like not having a waistband cutting into their belly from the early weeks of nausea to the final weeks when nothing seems to stay on your hips. Also, with a dress you know you are always well put together with no issue of mixing and matching items in your wardrobe which may no longer fit right.
Pregnant women can actually get away with wearing a dress in just about any venue. Where a non-pregnant woman may look a little over the top throwing on a dress to pick up kids at school, a pregnant woman wearing a maternity dress in the pickup line at school seems perfectly normal. You can even wear the same style dress for an everyday errand to the grocery or shopping mall that you would wear out to lunch with friends, to the office or even to a wedding.

Maternity Dress: Maternity Clothes Tips and Suggestions

Here are a few suggestions for stocking up your maternity wardrobe.

Stretch Pants and Leggings:
As your belly grows you are more and more likely to seek comfort over style when it comes to jeans and pants. Fortunately you don’t have to sacrifice either when you invest in some comfy yoga pants and stylish leggings. There are so many maternity leggings on the market today; you can find ankle length leggings in just about any color from all main maternity brands, cropped maternity leggings, leggings with side ruching and even lace detail on the trim. Leggings of all types and styles make the perfect compliment to a long maternity top, maternity tunic or casual maternity dresses or skirts. Yoga pants and stretch pants are also great for loungewear, activewear or even dressed up with a nice top. Dark colors such as black, charcoal and chocolate match easily with tops in your wardrobe through the fall and winter months.

Transition Wear:
The best way to stretch your dollar when shopping for maternity clothes, is to invest in items that can be worn during and after your pregnancy. Test the fabric and look for ribbed cotton or blends with lycra and spandex in the fabric which offer extra stretch and resilience. Nursing camis and tanks that are cut extra long and that are stretchy can also double as maternity tops and are great for layering in colder weather for both before and after your pregnancy. Styles with ruching at the sides and bust are particularly good at expanding where needed without looking frumpy. Also, styles that offer nursing access can be worn after you have the baby. Even maternity bottoms that fit under the belly or that have fold over bands are easy to wear after the baby.

Lingerie:
Every woman who is expecting soon finds their bra size is the first to change, sometimes even before they are ready for maternity clothes early in the first trimester. Usually bust size will continue to increase throughout pregnancy and then when starting to nurse as well. Instead to buying maternity bra after bra, go ahead and invest in a nursing bra that can be worn after you have the baby as well. Even if the bra you are buying early in your pregnancy is too small for nursing initially, chances are you will fit into it at some point on the way down to your pre-pregnancy size as you begin to wean your baby. Also many nursing bras are made with extra stretch and adjustments to fit several cup and band sizes which will save you money for both before and after your pregnancy.

Maternity Dress: Maternity Wearing In Stages

Early Stage....
For the first three months of your pregnancy or so you will still probably be able to wear your regular work clothes without even feeling anywhere near being pregnant.
In The Middle...
From 14 weeks on you start to enter the "awkward zone". This is where you are not quite looking pregnant, but you will definitely start to put on a little weight. At this stage proper maternity clothes will look way too big on you and so perhaps the easiest way to get through this stage is to buy regular skirts and shorts which have the elastic, or even better perhaps, the drawstring waistbands. Even low rise pants will do the trick for you leaving you feeling as if you are still trendy.
Sweaters, long jackets and cardigans, tunic tops, and loose shirts also work well during this transition time, gracefully concealing your growing belly without accentuating it.
Dressing For Work

For Work...
If your job calls for more formal business attire, then there are five key items which we can recommend:

pants
a skirt
a jacket
a dress
a tunic top

Those pieces can easily be combined for at least 6 different looks, by simply mixing the tunic with the skirt or pants; the jacket with the dress, pants, or skirt; or wear the dress on its own. You could even squeeze a few more outfits out of the mix by adding non-maternity sweaters and tops to the range

While you're updating your wardrobe for your pregnancy, don't forget about your feet. Many women's feet expand a half size or more during pregnancy. Your balance may be off as your center of gravity shifts with your expanding waistline.

You may need to sideline your heels for a few months, trading them in for a comfortable pair of flats or shoes with wide, chunky heels.

For Event...
Black is slimming, it's seasonless and it goes with everything. You can also make a basic black dress suit any occasion by adding the right jewelry, shoes, handbag, and even a wrap, and better yet is that these are all items that you probably already own.
If you have a gala event to attend and want to wear something really special, see if there are any businesses in your area that rent special maternity clothes. Everything from full-length Ball gowns to Halloween costumes can be rented surprisingly!

Maternity Dress: Looking After Your Skin While Pregnant

I am sure that you have all heard about the glow of pregnancy, and besides the early months… and the last months, where you feel uncomfortable, aching, nauseous or tired, there are times when you really feel fantastic and that you have that ‘glow’.
Besides all of the usual symptoms and side effects of pregnancy, some women have to deal with skin symptoms such as facial-skin discoloration or melasma, also known as the mask of pregnancy.

Secrets to Looking Your Best
Using creams that also exfoliate your skin can be a real help to ensuring that your skin is well looked after. Another factor which is often forgotten is the sun. Although you may not be spending your days lying on the beach, or perhaps you are, the sun is still going to have an effect on your face – when you are driving in your car, hanging up washing or just walking around outside. To help combat this often forgotten source of danger, be sure to apply a facial sunblock every morning as well.

Facial massages from heaven
Other than using face creams and making sure that you are protected from the sun’s harmful rays, you can give yourself relaxing facial massages to help keep your skin looking, and feeling fantastic.

Maternity Dress: Plus Size Maternity Evening Wear

Looking a plus size evening wear has become a difficult mission for larger women. Not only are the items incredibly hard to find and often not very fashionable, but they are often extremely ill fitting meaning they end up in sizes either too small or way too big.
How too look and feel great in any garment, particularly an evening dress? Always choose simple cuts like an A-line or sheath dress and select fabrics that hang well over your curves. Colour choice is also an important factor. Dark colours (such as black or navy), for the plus size woman are a safe choice as they can appear slimming, however don't be afraid to add a splash of colour for additional contrast and a bit of life. Not only can darker colours often be inappropriate for certain occasions but they can also become a bit of a clothing crutch.
Try something with a v-neck. If your best feature is your shoulders, then a strapless gown may work best.

A well made evening dress should always fit any body type nicely and make any woman feel beautiful - even in larger sizes for the larger woman. You can then begin to experiment using accessories - but remember, keep it simple!
